Whilst being accredited and learning with the P.D.T.I course, (Pet Dog Training Instructors) http://www.pdti.org/ I have classes in the Archway Methodist Church London N19 on Tuesday evenings at 7pm and a Sunday morning 11am, outdoor agility session in local Whittington Park. The class fees are affordable and offered as a community service. The Tuesday classes are voluntarily run. We use the funds we receive towards our hall rent, class resources and funding The Dog Olympix.
My interests are in canine behaviour and human interactions with the canine species. Most of my dog training knowledge has come through my experience in working with dogs on a day to day level across many years and learning from other handlers and trainers. Dogs should be able to reach their potential in their short lives and be given the opportunities to do so.
Dina James is our much loved and highly valued class assistant. She is responsible for setting up the hall and preparing the resources for each session. Dina adores animals and had two dogs until they passed on. She is a competent handler and makes creative contributions to the class for props and content. Dina also makes up leads and collars for bespoke orders.
Sheena is from Bangladesh and is an experienced trainer who is known for her rescue work with dogs from Romania. She has excellent handling skills with reactive dogs and is well known for her patience and kind manner. We met whilst helping out at the Alpha Dog Club in Finsbury Park, and her support to the classes has been invaluable.
